NGORONGORO CRATER WALKING SAFARI.

DURATION: 5DAYS/4NIGHTS.

DAY1:

NGORONGORO CRATER, NAINOKANOKA.

Crater game viewing- after breakfast drive to Ngorongoro crater for full day crater tour with picnic lunch.

Dinner and overnight at Nainokanoka camp.

DAY2:

OLMOTI CRATER, OLBULBUL DEPRESSION CAMP.

After breakfast, start trekking at 8:00 AM to Olmot crater, 30 minutes visit Munje falls at southern extreme trekking to depression campsite takes about 4 to 5 hours.

Clients will have an opportunity to view many things ranging from cattle dungs, insects (beetles), Zebras, gazelles, ostrich among others.

This is a Maasai land so you will be meeting and visiting typical Maasai villages on the way.

Dinner and overnight in a tent at Olbulbul depression campsite.

DAY3:

OLBULBUL, EMPAKAI CRATER.

After breakfast the trek heads eastwards and then northwards slowly climbing the rim to the top of Embakai crater.

The rim is about 6km wide and the water in the lake is alkaline with a depth of about 85m, which is unusual depth for soda lakes in East Africa. Embakai crater views are spectacular at every point overnight at the acacia campsite we provide the facilities.

DAY4:

ACACIA, LAKE NATRON.

After breakfast we will descend to Lake Natron via the Great Eastern arm Rift valley.

OldoinyoLengai the only active volcano in Tanzania, the holy mountain as it is well known to the Maasai. The trail leads down the rift valley escapement and its unique and quite steep 5-6 hours of walking will get you to the foot of this impressive mountain. There are two camping options, the chiniyamlima campsite or the Engaresero campsite.

DAY5:

LAKE NATRON, ARUSHA/ZANZIBAR.

After breakfast drive we will to Arusha via Lake Natron for Flamingo tour.

This is the only breeding site for Lesser Flamingos in Tanzania due to availabilities of alkaline Islands in the Lake.

We will later drive to Arusha for overnight or fly to Zanzibar.
